For decades, the founders of Independent Living Pros, Andrew (Dave) Morris and Zach Kracker worked on the front lines of safety and accessibility — helping people stay independent, secure, and confident in their homes and workplaces. Through years of conducting safety inspections, installing access equipment, and designing practical home modifications, they saw firsthand how a single fall could change a person’s life forever.

After spending years in the industry, the two founders recognized a gap: too many people were being offered temporary fixes instead of thoughtful, long-term safety solutions tailored to their real needs. They believed prevention should come before crisis, and that every person deserves to feel safe navigating their own environment.

Our Team
Our team blends clinical insight with construction expertise, ensuring every ramp, grab bar, or bathroom remodel is not only code-compliant and durable, but also truly functional, accessible, and dignified for the person using it. We collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and healthcare providers, and we stay involved after installation to adjust and improve solutions as needs change. This holistic, client-centered approach transforms “home modifications” into a customized independence plan, which sets Independent Living Pros apart from standard contractors who simply install equipment.
Independent Living Pros grew out of the vision and experience of Andrew D. Morris, a seasoned professional whose career spans manufacturing, sales, and executive management in the home services industry. Before launching Independent Living Pros, Andrew owned and led Heartland Home Services Ltd and served as President and CEO of its wholly owned subsidiary, Senior Safe Solutions—companies focused on home improvements and safety modifications for older adults.

The company’s operational capabilities were strengthened with the leadership of Zach Kracker, who would later help guide and refine the systems and processes that underpin Independent Living Pros. Zach brought a technology- and process-driven mindset from his previous role as Director of IT at Haines & Company Inc, a printing firm in the marketing industry. There, he managed complex data, infrastructure, and workflow systems—skills that translated directly into building efficient scheduling, communication, and quality-control processes in a service business.

Together, Andrew and Zach shaped Independent Living Pros into a company that blends old‑fashioned, relationship-based service with modern operational discipline. Andrew’s deep understanding of homeowners’ needs and construction practices, combined with Zach’s strength in technology and logistics, created a business built to serve seniors and their families with professionalism, transparency, and care.
